For many years, Thailand has been the most loved place for both hard-core divers and beginners who wish to add an unforgettable diving experience to their travel books. Similan islands, HinMuang, HinDaeng are some of the best jewels in the Thailand diving crown to try scuba diving at. Each location will surprise with a view you wouldn’t regret dying for. While exploring the colorful corals brimming with exotic marine life, you also get a chance to swim with whale and leopard sharks under safe conditions. One can never get bored in this beautiful land of smiles because it offers incredible scenic beauty in abundance.
BUT
Are you really prepared for scuba diving?
Know before you go so here is a list of few tips that will prepare you well for your first scuba dive -
  1. Practice yoga, as it will really help you focus on your breathing which is one of the most important elements of scuba diving. Yoga also improves your body flexibility and builds muscle strength.
  2. Don’t just plunge into the water if you have open wounds. Make sure that they are totally sealed with a waterproof tape to decrease the chances of infections.
  3. Listen carefully to the directions of your guide and stay close to them underwater especially if you are a beginner. Never be afraid to ask them questions no matter how silly they seem to you but don’t leave even an inch of space for confusion.
  4. Learning how to use hand signals is very important, as it’s the only way to communicate underwater.
  5. Don’t go too fast underwater as rapid movements burn more air due to increased resistance. Go slow and relax.
  6. Be very much sure of the equipment you should use without compromising with the quality.
  7. Drink plenty of water before and after dives to avoid dehydration.
  8. If you have a sinus infection or some other significant illness that compromises your health, better consult a doctor and go when you are feeling healthy.
